West Hamilton Denture Clinic has a state of-the-art lab so dentures do not have to be sent offsite, eliminating lengthy wait times. Here at West Hamilton Denture Clinic we know that every mouth is different and because of that, we insist on sitting down with you to discuss your wants and needs for your dentures before making any promises.

Fitting of dentures is accomplished over a series of appointments designed to cover overall oral health, impressions, bite registration and insertion. Once you are on your way, it’s important to adhere to a schedule of follow-up maintenance and annual check-ups. Dentures should last between five and seven years, but just like natural teeth, dentures will wear and stain, and they will require adjustment, even repairs over time. Regardless of how well your dentures fit, damage to the oral tissues can occur without you even being aware of it.

As a denturist, Lou Presutti DD is trained to detect any abnormalities or conditions in your mouth that may influence how your dentures fit. Lou Presutti DD believes early detection of any oral issues is imperative to your overall oral health. There are measures you can take to keep gums healthy at home. Follow these simple, basic steps: whenever you take out your dentures, rinse your mouth and massage your gums with a soft toothbrush. If you have partial dentures, you still need to properly brush and floss your natural teeth daily.

Dentures must be cleaned regularly as they are subjected to daily abuse from eating and drinking – stains, tarter and bacteria can build up easily. Brush your dentures with a firm bristled brush specially designed for dentures. Relining dentures can become necessary when the mouth and gums change shape naturally due to aging, or other factors such as weight loss, illness or tooth loss. Lou Presutti DD can help determine which relining is best for you. Cracked or broken dentures should be repaired quickly because they can affect your gums, ability to chew and of course, your confidence. At West Hamilton Denture Clinic, repairs are done in-house with proper denture materials and bonding agents.

If you are experiencing pain or difficulty chewing, loose dentures or cracked or broken dentures, you should make an appointment with Lou Presutti DD immediately to discuss options. Along with all services related to full and partial dentures,West Hamilton Denture Clinic offers personal one on one consultations. CLIENTS ALWAYS FEEL WELCOME AT WEST HAMILTON DENTURE CLINIC

There are plenty of good reasons to explain why the clients at West Hamilton Denture Clinic come back again and again. Among them is that they know their needs and concerns will be addressed quickly and without question by the clinic’s staff, who are dedicated to helping clients smile confidently again.

In fact, all one has to do is read a few testimonials to realize that this clinic goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure its patients are happy with their dentures. “Some say we do too much for our clients,” says Lou Presutti, DD. “But it’s a personal thing for us. We want them to know they should call us and we want to hear what they have to say.” With some of their patient relationships spanning more than 20 years, it’s no surprise that some clients drop by almost weekly just to say hello.

Always greeted when they walk in the door, the clinic exudes a casual and welcoming environment. “It feels like home,” admits Lou Presutti DD. “It’s cozy. We want to make you feel comfortable.” The clinic’s tight knit staff consists of practitioner Lou Presutti DD, his wife Josie who manages the office administration, and Nicole who has been part of the team for three years. Together, they provide consistent, timely and friendly service to everyone who walks through the door.

Among their valued clients is five-time all star Tiger-Cat alumni, Angelo Mosca. During the clinic’s early years, Angelo played a role in promoting West Hamilton Denture Clinic through TV and radio stations. Eversince, patients have asked whether the Canadian Football Hall of famer was treated by the clinic. “The answer is yes! He promoted us and he is a client,” says Lou Presutti DD. Mosca played a record nine Grey Cups, winning five of them. He played for the Tiger-Cats in 1958 and 1959, and again from 1963 to 1972. He was entered into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. In more recent years, West Hamilton Denture Clinic has supported “The Angelo Mosca Fund” that was founded after the football star was diagnosed with Azheimer’s. The fund supports Alzheimer’s Canada research and the provision of local Alzheimer services in the Hamilton area.

“We help out the community when we can,” explains Lou Presutti DD. “For example, we support the Boy Scouts’ apple drive because our clients are actively involved in the organization.”

Staying in touch with their clients is important, which is why each person receives a birthday card and Christmas card in the mail every year. It’s a personal touch that doesn’t go unnoticed.

“We have lots of people call us when they receive their cards. They are very appreciative of that.”

Denturist, Lou Presutti DD and his staff are dedicated to educating and building long lasting relationships with every denture wearer and patient. For three years in a row, it has been named among the top three denture clinics, as well as denturist by The Hamilton Spectator’s Reader’s Choice awards.

As a proud member of the Denturist Association of Ontario, the clinic specializes in full, partial and immediate (first time) dentures, denture on implants, and a full spectrum of services.
