An immediate denture is a dental prosthesis to replace the lost teeth immediately following the removal of the teeth. The advantages to this option are:
- Lessens pain and irritation of affected areas
- Controls bleeding and swelling
- Prevents loss of muscle action and tissue tone
- Maintains normal speech and tongue habits
- Prevents possible TMJ disorders

- Promotes better ridge maintenance by avoiding excessive resorbtion

Many adults are endentulous due to the gum resorbtion that results from wearing a complete dental |

prosthesis. Quality of life can be greatly affected. Fortunately oral implants have advanced to the point that they can now satisfactorily remedy the major problems associated with the loss of all one's teeth.
An oral implant, made from titanium, attaches permanently to the bone of the jaw thereby creating a very solid, reliable and comfortable denture retainer. |
